I’m a vegetarian but I love vegan food all the same. As most vegetarians know, it’s hard to find protein-rich delicious food. People tend to think meatless dishes need more salt or sugar, resulting in excessively salty or overly sweet vegetarian meals. Sometimes they swing the opposite way by hardly seasoning the food, especially when it’s vegan, yielding painfully bland or inedible dishes.
I just ate this vegan chocolate cake. It was dainty and properly sweet. Alan isn’t vegetarian, but he couldn’t tell it was vegan and liked it too. I recently heard you can make frosting from tofu. This cake’s frosting was mostly sugar, but I’m interested in tofu frosting. I figure it’s healthier and less greasy than typical frosting.
What’s your favorite vegan cake recipe? Do you know a good tofu frosting recipe?
