I saw these interesting desserts recently at a mall and had to try them out. They are called taiyaki. A mixture of flour, sugar, and what else I don’t know is poured onto a fish-shaped waffle iron. Then, you can add fillings like taro paste, red bean paste, etc. They are properly sweet, soft, aromatic, and cute. The dough is spongy inside and crispy outside, just how they look. Also, it tastes like it smells, which is nice. Yum, yum.
These fish-shaped snacks made me think of chocolate made into figures like rabbits and ducks. Cute snacks like those always catch my eye when they’re on display, and they’re fun to eat.
