My husband Alan and I play video games. These are the two I’ve played the most so far.
First, Elden Ring, an action role-playing game in a sort of feudal fantasy setting. You fight all sorts of creatures.
I’ve played Elden Ring for over 600 hours, and I’m still playing it with Alan (co-operatively). It can be frustrating due to bugs, errors and design flaws, but we are having so much fun. We don’t expect to stop playing it in the foreseeable future.
The other game is Nioh 2, an action role-playing game in a samurai setting. You fight both demons and humans.
I was addicted to Nioh 2 so much when I played it. There are five difficulties and many side challenges. I beat the first four difficulties and most challenges. I was playing through the fifth difficulty when I finally felt done and moved on to a different game. Overall I played Nioh 2 for over 900 hours, and might go back to play it again sometime.
We play games for more than fun. Games help distract us from pain caused by our chronic illnesses. They are therapeutic for us, aside from being entertaining.
Have you played any games for hundreds of hours?
