Okra, okra

by Sairung:

I’m a vegetarian who likes almost every vegetable. Today I would like to talk about okra.

Okra is one versatile veggie. Whatever it’s made into, it’s delicious. Its texture is fun to chew. One dish I like a lot is bhindi masala, an Indian dish. The spices, flavor, everything about it is awesome. However if you use old okra, it’s unchewable and inedible. Every now and then I get a dish with old okra, and there’s not much I can eat. I don’t know exactly if “old” okra is the problem. Perhaps it’s not cooked right? Old is just my guess. Otherwise, it’s one very tasty dish.

I love Thai food (I’m from Thailand). But it’s difficult to avoid fish sauce and/or oyster sauce since they’re in many Thai dishes. So, I have come to love Indian food. I’m fond of chana and dhal, among many others. And as you may know so far from reading, I’m crazy about bhindi masala!

Do you like okra?
